WNDE Hires 15, Including 11 Participants in WNDE’s 2018 Internship Program
White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP (“WNDE”) is pleased to welcome 15 new team members, 11 of whom are interns (six audit, five tax) and four junior staff (three audit, one tax). As a testimony to the overall impact and success of our college recruiting program, and specifically, our annual Summer Leadership Program, seven of our 11 interns were student participants in the summer program. The two-day program has become a vital recruiting pipeline and we are experiencing the benefits of our efforts.
New full time staff members include audit juniors Hannah Larsen, a Biola University graduate, along with Dan Vo and Mike Mejia, who are both graduates of California State University, Fullerton. California Baptist University graduate Dayanara Ramos, who is also a previous Summer Leadership Program participant, has joined WNDE as full time tax junior.
The WNDE Internship Program introduces students to the many facets of a career in accounting and specifically with our firm and is open to local college and university students at the junior and senior undergraduate level. The program runs January through May, with some interns working year-round and subsequently hired as junior staff accountants upon graduation.
“We’re delighted to welcome this talented group of individuals to our staff,” said Paul Treinen, managing partner. “The busy tax season is upon us, so we’ll have much for them to do and much for them to learn.”
“Our interns have similar responsibilities as those of our first-year, full-time staff and are assigned to various types of projects indiverse industries,” continued Paul. “They are exposed to tax and audit work that challenges as well as educates.”
“Hiring top talent, including at the college level, is extremely competitive. We certainly hope the students who are exposed to this hands-on internship experience will walk away with a true understanding of what it means to be in public accounting. More importantly, we hope that WNDE becomes a firm of choice for these students as they seek full-time employment down the road.”
