About this Job
An audit intern at White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP functions as an integral member of the audit team, becoming involved in various aspects of financial accounting and auditing. Our internship program provides students with an education beyond the classroom!
The first few days of your internship are spent in an orientation program where you will learn basic Firm protocol, administrative and technical procedures and receive an overview of the Firm’s practice and the services it provides. Thereafter, you will begin assignments under the supervision and guidance of experienced tax associates. You will be assigned a senior manager of the Firm, who will be an additional support to your “real-life” experience and provide you with feedback.
As an intern in our audit department, you will have the opportunity to perform audit test work; complete review and compilation engagements, including financial statement preparation; assist in preparation and mailing of confirmation requests, engagement letters and other inquiries; prepare work papers and audit documentation; perform data entry tasks such as trial balance and journal entry preparation, and become familiar with generally accepted accounting principles as well as pronouncements of the FASB and AICPA regulations.
Interns perform many of the same functions as an entry-level associate and are welcomed into a professional, friendly, and challenging environment as part of the team, participating in meetings and attending Firm activities.
Many of our previous interns have secured regular full-time employment with the Firm. Becoming an intern with White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP is your gateway to a longer-term position!
