Christena WenkChristina Wenk is a Tax and Advisory Services Partner with WNDE. She has worked with the firm since 2007, and has worked in the accounting industry since 1998.

She manages a client base consisting primarily of partnerships, limited liability companies, s-corporations, trusts, not for profit organizations and high net worth individuals. Her responsibilities include tax planning, managing work flow, preparing and reviewing income tax returns and assisting clients in all aspects of their business. She serves clients in a wide variety of industries including real estate, construction, law, computers/computer software/internet, art, medicine and a variety of other service businesses.

Christina was born in Pasadena and raised in Anaheim. Her father was an accountant and business owner, and she opted to follow his career path. She earned a B.A, with high honors, in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and a M.S. in Taxation, both from Cal State Fullerton.

She earned her CPA designation in 2000 and her certified fraud examiner’s designation in 2011. Her professional affiliations include memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

She said, “I enjoy assisting my clients with implementing tax planning strategies that will enable them to defer, reduce or avoid income taxes altogether by increasing their allowed tax deductions and credits and taking advantage of the beneficial provisions included in the Internal Revenue Code.”

Her favorite tax quote comes from the 1934 court case Gregory v. Helvering, in which, Judge Learned Hand, who served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, wrote, “Any one may so arrange his affairs that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which will best pay the Treasury; there is not even a patriotic duty to increase one’s taxes.”

She is pleased to be part of the WNDE team. She said, “I love working for White Nelson Diehl Evans. It is my favorite place I have worked during my career and I plan on working at WNDE a long time.”

She continued, “When I was a younger accountant living in Orange County I admired the firms ‘White Nelson’ and ‘Diehl Evans’ so when I was hired by Diehl Evans and then again when the two firms merged, I was very excited and grateful for the opportunity to work for a company with such high moral and ethical values that performs such quality work. I really like the people here. They are my good friends at my home away from home. We are a WNDE family.”

Christina is married and has two adult and two young children. She lives in San Clemente. Some of her hobbies include spending quality time with her family, cycling, writing, education and physical fitness.

She also likes to listen to successful motivational speakers. She said, “I like the late Zig Ziglar’s saying, ‘You can get everything you want in life if you will just help enough other people get what they want’ and ‘Going the extra mile will guarantee success in your personal and business life.’”
