Kenneth R. Ames, a tax advisory partner with White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP, has received a National Service to Youth Award from the California Boys & Girls Club of America for his 10 years of service on the Carlsbad Club’s Board of Directors. In conjunction with the award, he received a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Carlsbad.

“I’m honored to receive this award, and I’m pleased to participate in the Boys & Girls Club’s mission,” remarked Ken. “It is a worthy charity that not only helps kids today, but also influences in a positive way the people who hold our future in their hands.”

In his role on the Club’s Board of Directors, Ken assists the Club with its fundraising efforts. He noted that many White Nelson Diehl Evans employees had contributed generously to the Club over the years, both in financial gifts and in volunteering their time. The support they offer had tremendous benefits in the community, he noted.

“The Club plays an important role for families; it gives children a positive place to go to engage in sports, play on the playground, do their homework or just meet their friends,” Ken said.

Ken has been a member of the staff of White Nelson Diehl Evans for 11 years, working out of the firm’s Carlsbad and Escondido offices. His area of expertise is tax consulting, compliance and litigation support services for entities of all types. He has also presented seminars and authored various articles on retirement plans, tax planning and marital dissolutions.

Ken is also active with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is a member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association, a group of current and former paratroopers of the division.
