WNDE Names Three New Partners

White Nelson Diehl Evans LLP (WNDE) has named three new partners: Deana L. Bowden, Traci T. Tran and Mark F. von Rotz. All three work in the firm’s Irvine headquarters.

“These three members of the White Nelson Diehl Evans team are capable professionals who have contributed much to our practice,” observed Dave Doran, Managing Partner. “They’ve done excellent work on behalf of our clients, and we’re confident that they’ll continue to excel now that they’re partners.”

Deana L. Bowden, CPA, is an Assurance Partner. She has 17 years of public accounting experience, more than 10 of which have been with White Nelson Diehl Evans. She also has eight years of experience working for private companies and has worked for two other accounting firms. Her areas of expertise include compilations, reviews, audits and business consulting.

She earned a B.S. in Accounting from California State University, San Bernardino in 1996. She earned her CPA designation in 2001.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).

Deana is a resident of Yorba Linda. She has been married for 18 years and has two daughters. Her interests include fishing, camping and other outdoor activities.

She is excited about being named a partner. She said, “I’m very excited and I’m looking forward to the future.”

She is grateful to be part of the WNDE team. She said, “The best part about our firm is the community. We have a great environment that promotes that community feeling.”

Traci T. Tran, CPA, MS, is a Financial Reporting and Consulting Partner. She has 18 years of public accounting experience, most of it with White Nelson Diehl Evans. Traci performs audits of private businesses, pension plans and government entities.

Traci came to the United States from Vietnam at age 11. She earned a B.S. in Economics from University of California, Los Angeles in 1995. She earned a M.S. in Taxation from California State University, Fullerton in 2002. She earned her CPA designation in 2000.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA).

Traci and her husband live in Irvine and have two children. She enjoys family beach vacations and doing arts and crafts with her children. Traci is involved in many of her kids’ academic and other activities, including being a volunteer in their classrooms, serving as a board member for their swim team and serving as a troop leader for their scouting activities.

She feels fortunate to be part of the WNDE team. She said, “I like the people with whom I work and the work-life balance the firm offers. I’m grateful that I have a career and am still able to participate in many of my kids’ activities.”

Mark F. von Rotz, CPA, is a Tax and Advisory Services partner. He has 17 years of public accounting experience, most of it with White Nelson Diehl Evans.

Mark is an income tax generalist, specializing in tax planning and compliance. His client base consists of various entity types that are typically involved in manufacturing, distribution, real estate and professional service industries. He serves large and middle market companies throughout California.

He earned a B.S. in Accounting from California State University, Fullerton in 1997. He earned his CPA designation in 2001.

His professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Mark lives in Orange with his wife and their three children. He is an advisory board member for the Orange County Walk to Remember, which was co-founded by his wife in 2005 after the death of their son Joseph. The nonprofit organization serves families who have lost a baby in pregnancy or infancy.

He is grateful to be part of the WNDE team. He said, “When I started at WNDE, the firm had 40 employees. Today, we have over 130 firm members, and we are still able to keep the small firm atmosphere. It is a pleasure to come to work every day to serve my clients and learn and grow along with my fellow firm members.”
