For-profit executives have long had peer-to-peer forum organizations that provide the opportunity for development and roundtable discussion of pressing management issues and topics of interest. Now nonprofit executives have theirs. White Nelson is a founding sponsor of the Orange County Nonprofit Management Forum. The organization has been developed for the Executive Directors, CFO’s, COO’s and other senior management officers of nonprofit organizations in Orange County. The group hosts and facilitates complimentary monthly meetings to provide the following:
– An educational presentation on a topic of interest to nonprofit executives
– Interactive business round-table discussion among attendees
– Peer networking among nonprofit executives
According to Scott Jones, Director of Practice Development at White Nelson, “the Nonprofit Management Forum has received a welcome response from the nonprofit community. So far, our meetings have been a tremendous success with 20 to 25 senior nonprofit executives in attendance at each session.” To date, the forum has addressed topics such as Social Enterprise, Endowments, Nonprofit Accounting and Tax Updates and Fraud and Fiduciary Issues.
The Forum discussions are facilitated by the group’s sponsors who include the law offices of Brown & Streza, LLP, BNY Mellon Wealth Management, White, Nelson & Co. LLP and Andreini & Co insurance services.
The Orange County Nonprofit Management Forum has been developed for key executives and senior managers of operating nonprofit organizations in Orange County and is an open invitation forum.
